I was hired by Szelena Gray to build her personal website with two stipulations: the design should be clean/minimal and the site should be a one-page design. The final design is inspired partially by the clean look of the New York Times website as well as other single page portfolio. The build includes five main sections: about Szelena, featured media, work experience, blog, and contact.
Though not currently featured on Szelena’s site, she has the capability to add her previous work experience and link outwards to those companies.
The media section features two interviews for major news outlets, C-Span and The Open Mind on PBS, as well as her feature in Vogue Magazine.
Szelena currently maintains a separate website, theminist.com, which acts as her personal blog. She wanted this to be featured on the website without having to merge the two. I use RSS to call to the latest blog post and link outwards to that post.
The admin also features several customizable pages that could add new sections at a later date. The goal was to be flexible so that Szelena can add and subtract content as she sees fit.
